Biography

Jacob Michael Dean is a film editor and director based in Los Angeles with a Bachelor's Degree in Film and Television Production from NYU.

Growing up in Sacramento, California, Jacob has always been interested in movies. As a child, he created home videos with his little sister as a way to entertain himself and his family. In 2018, he started his editing journey by volunteering for a non-profit organization in which he assumed the role of Lead Video Editor for all marketing and commercial content. This has since led to him editing award-winning documentaries, music videos for Grammy-nominated musicians, and festival winning narrative films. Jacob has worked on short films that have been accepted into festivals like Flicker's Rhode Island International, Liverpool Film Festival, Indie Short Fest and more.
